Trainspotting: Because It's Shite Being Scottish

"Choose life, choose a career..." blah blah blah, you don't have to do any of that tonight, just choose to watch this movie. Trainspotting is one of the best book-to-movie adaptations ever. Ev-er. The characters from Irvine Welsh's novel are brought to life with perfection.

It's got everything. Sex, drugs, comedy, drugs, action, drugs, a kick-ass soundtrack, and even drugs. Okay, it has way too much drugs, but that's kind of the point. It's about life, love, addiction, and hustling. It's hilarious, pulse-raising, depressing, and uplifting all at once. It launched the careers of Ewan McGregor, Danny Boyle, and (my life-long crush) Kelly Macdonald, and has an unforgettable performance from Robert Carlyle. If you haven't seen it yet, you've waited too long. Tonight's the night. Do it already. [Netflix Instant, iTunes, Google Play Movies]
