After an absurdly long silence, Twitter has finally announced an admittedly small set of updates to its OS X client. And at this point, we’ll take what we can get.

Among the improvements, the Tweet compose box now includes a convenient button for easier photo-sharing—photos that are finally getting the full Retina support they so readily deserve. And what with Twitter being a vessel of the people and all, non-English-speaking users will be happy to note the addition of 14 more languages: Dutch, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish.

Plus, you’ll be getting a few convenient tweaks (such as new keyboard shortcuts and multiple account support) tossed in. The updated app is available in the App Store now, with “more improvements to come.” So give it a few years. [Twitter]
