If you

ve hit the wall with that 15-foot limit for USB cables, maybe it’s time for a USB 4-port Hub Extender. This $54.99 no-name product has two pieces, one which plugs into your computer using an everyday USB plug and has an Ethernet jack on the other side. You connect that—using up to 150 feet of Ethernet cable—to the other box which has four USB ports in it. This all sounds great, until you notice that one unfortunate spec: it’s just USB 1.1 compliant. Aw, you had me going there for a minute. Now quick, somebody develop one with USB 2.0.
