Though Verizon has been quite clear about its aim to end the all-you-can-eat model, the WSJ confirms that the company will offer a $30 unlimited data plan for the iPhone come next month. Phew. Let Verizion iPhone hysteria recommence. Updated.

But this ain't forever. Lowell McAdam, Verizon's COO, said that the unlimited data plan was temporary, and that Verizon would march ahead to its tiered pricing promised land in the "not-too-distant future." [WSJ]

Out of curiosity, does anyone plan on switching from AT&T to Verizon for this? It seemed to be the big worry for AT&T originally, but I wouldn't dream of switching over.

Am I the only one who thinks CDMA is stupid and useless?
