After paying almost twice as much as the Apple IIc's original price for a unopened one in mint condition on eBay—$2553—Dan Budiac couldn't just let his freshly purchased piece of vintage computing gather dust (and $$$) on a shelf as a trophy box. Nope, he had to subject it to that most time-honored of rituals: the strip and manhandle photoset. Here's a few shots, but check out the whole set if virginal 24-year-olds are your thing.

@permissionmag:

The //c is a bit of nostalgia, and a beautiful piece of design, that has nothing to do with what you're talking about.

Nostalgia, yes. Beautiful piece of design? In hardware, maybe. As I recall, they went back to the Woz engineering drawing board to re-work the design, but in the end, it was still just an Apple II. The Mac 128 or Mac Plus mint (in box) I think would gain a significantly higher price tag since it was an amazing design both in hardware and software. I dare say an Apple IIgs has far more appeal than a IIc.
