Conceding that sometimes making a quick drawing on a piece of paper still has the occasional benefit over sketching on a tablet, Wacom has updated its touchscreen-friendly Bamboo stylus with a capped ball point pen on one end.

The other side still features the soft conductive rubber tip which works just like a finger on a touchscreen device, minus the grease and fingerprints left behind. The Bamboo Stylus duo, as it's now known, will be available for $40 sometime this month. Separately, Wacom's free Bamboo Paper appā€”which lets you create and organize notes and sketchesā€”arrives in the Android Market today. The stylus doesn't have to be exclusively used with the company's app, but as a simple digital notebook, the price is certainly right.
