Walk Around the Enterprise in Star Trek Beyond Charity Video

Several months ago, our first look at the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a charity video by Omaze. Now, the same can be said about the third new Star Trek film, Star Trek Beyond.

Major members of the cast - Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, Zachary Quinto, Idris Elba, John Cho, Chris Pine and Simon Pegg - appear in the video, which promotes a charity contest where fans can donate as little as $10 and be entered to possibly get a walk on-role in the movie. Other prizes include a visit to the set, props from the film, t-shirts, videos and much, much more. Even if you don’t win, your donation will go to a slew of worthwhile charities, which is awesome. You can check out all the prizes and information here.

As for the video itself, it’s definitely fun to see these actors, not dressed up as their Star Trek counterparts, explore the beautiful sets. They look very much like they did in the first two films, which would make sense as it’s still the Enterprise. As for the dancing, well, Idris Elba puts everyone else to shame.

We don’t know much about the plot of Star Trek Beyond, just that it was written by Doug Jung and Simon Pegg, is being directed by Justin Lin, and will be released in just under a year, July 8, 2016. That’s just two months shy of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek.
