Yesterday, we showed you an excellent proof-of-concept video for a scifi reimagining of Zorro. It worked far better than it should have. Today, there’s an actual trailer for WB’s real, coming-out-in-2014 CG Tarzan movie, where there are alien spaceship and giant tentacle monsters and other seemingly un-Tarzan-like weirdness.

Admittedly, I’m no Tarzan expert, so maybe aliens are actually par for the course in Edgar Rice Burrough’s original books. Even if they aren’t, I don’t know that this is a bad idea or it’s unworkable or anything. However, I do know this:
I absolutely refuse to see anything with a nightmarish ventriloquist dummy as the lead.
