If you're one of the suckers early adopters who've already jumped onto the HD DVD bandwagon, or you're considering doing it but worry about how you're going to be able to backup the dvds you buy or play them on older machines, you'll be happy to know that Warner Home Video will start releasing hybrid HD DVDs next month, discs with HD DVD content on one side and regular DVD on the other.
The HD DVD of Rumor Has It will be hitting the streets on May 9th, same as the standard DVD version of it—the retail price for the HD DVD is a whopping $39.99 while Amazon has the standard for on pre-order for $16.96. Is the ability to see a Jennifer Aniston/Kevin Costner movie in high definition worth the 135% premium? We're not feeling the love here.
