Mythbusters may have finally called it a day, but that seems to have freed up time for Adam Savage to get back to what he does best: build props.
Recreating the Hellboy sword is deceptively simple, but Adam throws in a few clever tricks to make the sword look like weathered metal despite weighing practically nothing. All the contouring is thanks to some Bondo scraped over a piece of wood. Aluminum tape provides the metal finish, while some black spray paint (later partially removed with steel wool) gives the sword a battle-worn appearance. Adam even builds a miniature demon to impale, perfectly matching a panel from the comic.
