With the double announcement that Stargate Atlantis is ending this season and Stargate Universe is moving forward there’s a lot of panic in gater fandom. But don’t worry — producer Joseph Mallozzi tried to soothe the masses by answering the important questions on his blog, and reminding us that we’re in for some hot girl-on-alien action in the Atlantis future. Looks like actress Dawn Olivieri and Ronon get a chance to work together in upcoming SGA episode “Identity.” You remember Olivieri as #14 from Deal or No Deal, but when she’s not opening up briefcases for germaphobe Howie Mandel, she plays Neeva, an evil alien who switches bodies with Dr. Keller (Jewel Staite). Also while Dr. Keller is possessed by Neeva she tries to seduce Dr. Rodney McKay. Which is awesome. Ronon and Keller were just two space ships passing in the night. McKay and Keller, I’m thinking space wedding bells. Fans wrote into Mallozzi with important questions, such as whether the promise of SGA movies are really just a ploy to escape fan backlash. Also, who can we expect to see in the SGA two hour movie? Mallozzi promised us multiple Stargate movies per year (possibly 3) from either SG-1 or SGA. The Stargate Atlantismovie was always in motion (codenamed Project Twilight) and was secretly being pitched for season 5 on the Sci Fi channel no matter what happened to the crew of Atlantis. So who’s going to be in “Project Twilight”? Mallozzi didn’t spill too much but reminded us that our Wraith friends will probably never be far away. He concluded:
Obviously, I can’t say much about it at this point but suffice it to say that it should include the entire cast in addition to a certain gaunt and pallid flowing-locked guest star.
