The first episode of Preacher airs on Sunday but AMC has just put the first four and a half minutes of it online. That may not sound like a lot, but directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg pack the intro with tons of foreshadowing.
Here’s the footage, thanks to AMC. But to be fair there are some reveals in it, so….
So yes, that’s Genesis flying through outer space at the beginning of the episode. Yes, the body explosion in Africa is the level of violence you can expect as the series progresses. Yes, that’s Jesse’s father in the brief flashback before he wakes up. And yes, that figure on the bottle of Ratwater whiskey is exactly who you think it is.
