When you start a book or movie, you commit to following a character (or maybe even a few) for the length of the story. But do you ever get the feeling that maybe, just maybe, you’ve picked the wrong ones?
Maybe you suspect that the villains of the story might actually have a good case for why they’re aggrieved; maybe you suspect the sidekick sees things a little more sharply from not seeing them head-on; or perhaps a character with only a sketchy backstory just seems so much more interesting than the hero.
Tell us in the comments, what the story is and which character you’d like to see through the eyes of. Perhaps give us a brief synopsis of the story we might expect, and why it’s just that much more interesting than the one we got.
