Usually, we don't get too worked up about new color options on gear because it's a gimmick. It's usually a gimmick. It's not every day someone shows me a synthesizer the color of a delicious Creamsicle.

Looking at this new limited edition Casio XW-P1 61-key synth in "Chrome Orange", I feel like I'm 16, bored in music class thinking about the citrusy, cream-filled dessert I'm going to murder in the parking lot at 7-Eleven after school. We've heard very good things about the XW-P1's virtual analog sound, but more than its sonics, I'm kinda wondering how this thing tastes. [PR Newswire]

I saw it on the store the other day and just didn't pay any attention. Casio focused heavily on PCM cheap synths during the last two decades so I wasn't expecting anything new from them.
