On paper, USA’s new drama Falling Water sounds awfully complicated. It’s about three troubled strangers who somehow come to realize that they’re sharing the same dream, a connection that also links them to a mysterious and apparently ongoing battle to control the dreams of everyone in the world.
That’s… a lot. But with the benefit of some surreal imagery—and with talents like director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) and producer Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead) behind the camera—Falling Water could be a high-concept show that actually succeeds by being unlike any other show on TV.
