There are many, many crushing moments in Avengers: Infinity War. That’s part of what makes it so good, and its follow-up, Avengers: Endgame, even better. But one moment that the world has keyed into on a whole other level involves Thanos, his young daughter, and two simple questions.
“Did you do it?” Young Gamora asks Thanos. Yes, he did. “What did it cost?” she continues. “Everything,” he admits. On the surface, it’s merely an effective way to explain that even though Thanos got his way and killed half the galaxy, it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. But, of course, the Internet took it to another level, memeing the moment within an inch of its life.
And yet, it’s still a touching, unforgettable moment. One that artist Doaly has captured in a new set of posters for Bottleneck Gallery. Check them out.
That’s the regular edition of the poster, which goes on sale at noon EST on Thursday, September 24. It’s an 18 x 24 inch screen print in an edition of 100 and, to answer Gamora, it costs $45.
This is the variant edition. Also an 18 x 24 inch screen print, but in an edition of 40. The price? $55. So at least they won’t cost you everything.
At the same time, Bottleneck is also releasing lenticular versions of the theatrical one-sheets for Infinity War and Endgame, both 24 x 36 inches in editions of 50 and costing $200. You can see images of those here.
With Avengers: Doomsday on the horizon and Endgame back in theaters this weekend, we’re very curious to see if there’s any indication of Thanos making some kind of return. Doctor Doom, after all, is going to mess with the multiverse quite a bit. But at least now you can have that sad, purple, genocidal maniac on your wall no matter what.
