A destroyed train displaying a tattered flag forms a gateway to a brighter land located further down the tracks. Are the taller figures some sort of futuristic miliary, cobbled together to police the post-apocalypse? Are they merely collecting a toll, or giving helpful directions?
What happened to this countryside? Where did the train used to go? And what’s up with those little kids?
(Also, someone please write a story from the POV of the dog. Pretty please! Are dogs ruling this dystopia? That pup does look pretty commanding …)
