With all the hoopla around The Beatles’ arrival on iTunes, you’d think it was the first time their music was available anywhere. Not so! And while iTunes prices the Fab Four’s box set competitively, how does it do with albums?

Even though Apple’s got digital distribution rights locked in at least partway through 2011, from a strictly cost standpoint you’re still usually better off going with a CD from Amazon or Best Buy.

That is, of course, assuming you don’t mind the delivery delay. But you’ve gone this long—what’s another couple of days going to hurt? You can kill time over at Pandora while you wait. They’ve been streaming The Beatles for free for years now.
