We hadn’t been aware of this, but apparently ghost sightings are down. Way down, and have been on the decline for the past fifteen years or so. Tony Cornell of the Society for Psychical Research in England thinks there’s only one rational explanation for this: that cellphones, or more specifically, cellphone radiation, are drowning out paranormal activity, since this drop happens to coincide with the introduction of the cellphone. Nice to know there’s at least one other major side effect to cellphone usage besides senility.
