Why Can't iPad Multitasking Work Like This?

We spent so long clamoring for any kind of iOS multitasking that maybe we forgot to specify what kind of multitasking we wanted. Or maybe we just never realized it could be as tidy and wonderful and yes as this mockup.

The concept shown in the video above springs not from Apple's R&D department, but from the mind of Marcos Antonio de Lima Filho. He imagines an iPad interface in which open apps are browsed as huge panes instead of tiny thumbs, showing you where you left off in any given program. Which is to say, he imagines an iPad interface with a healthy infusion if webOS. And it's sublime. [Twitter via The Next Web]

Multitasking on iPhone 4 sucks terribly imo. I check my memory and routinely am left with only 50MB at all times until I manually kill the apps. If I don't, lots of apps will crash when doing something processor heavy and then it works great when reopening. I shouldn't have to do that, the system shouldn't suspend SO many apps that it ALWAYS leaves the memory at 50, on and on.

WHO CARES HOW YOU SWITCH THE DANG APPS WHEN IT WORKS LIKE CRAP OVERALL?!!!
