Enver Gjokaj (a.k.a. Victor from Dollhouse) is reportedly in the running to play Rex Matheson, a hard-bitten CIA agent on Torchwood: New World who’s oblivious to his coworker’s crush. Cue Captain Jack stepping in and breaking some hearts.
Gjokaj is best known for playing Victor the Active on Dollhouse and is not the only actor who’s considering Rex — another contender is Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill). As for the role of Esther Katusi, Rex’s smitten CIA coworker, Amber Stevens of Greek is the lead candidate. Still no word on who’s playing ex-pedophile/potential villain Oswald Jones.
