Windows Vista Late? I Take That Back!

Despite the meanderings of Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer yesterday, today he officially denied that the company's upcoming Vista operating system will be late. At a news conference at the Seoul Digital Forum, Ballmer said:

"It is all on track, but we're going to see what kind of feedback we get from users ... and we're going to work to make sure it's absolutely a high-quality product. That's number one."

So what else is new? Looks to us like if Vista's not ready by January, Ballmer will now point the finger at some of the beta testers rather than setting up NEC for the blame as he did yesterday.
