A new Tokyo-based company called IPTalk is going to start offering wireless Voice over IP service in Japan next year. Customers will be able to make free calls to other subscribers and cheap calls to landlines and overseas numbers from any public WiFi hotspot using a special WiFi handset. Sounds a lot like what Jeff Pulver wants to offer by adding support for Vonage to his line of WiSIP WiFi phones.
