Did Joss Whedon and co really know what they were letting themselves in for when they invited fans of Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog to apply to join the Evil League of Evil by posting audition videos to YouTube? The answer may be yes – but that doesn’t stop us being surprised, amused and in some case, disturbed by some of the applicants. We’ve posted a handful of favorites below.

The deadline for applications was yesterday, so the world can breathe easy that Bad Horse and cronies will be too overwhelmed with the amount of applications to sort through that evil will have to take a back seat to administrative duties for awhile. We can only hope that this accidental ceasefire lasts at least until the release of Doctor Horrible on DVD… [YouTube]
