It’s not completely clear just what Yoomi is—some quiz game entailing pitching would you rather questions to your friends. But that’s not the draw—the coolest part is that it turns your iPad into a touch board game surface.
Yoomi uses a proprietary (and somewhat goofy, let’s be honest) adapter to keep track of physical tokens that are used with the onscreen quizzing. Again, how the hell this game is exactly played is somewhat unclear, but we’re guessing that after guessing correctly about your mate, you get a token—or something along those lines. At any rate, it’s fun to see game makers taking advantage of both high and low tech when cooking up new ideas. [Yoomi via OhGizmo!]
