Your Launch Day iPhone 4 Warranty Is Expiring Soon

Illustration for article titled Your Launch Day iPhone 4 Warranty Is Expiring Soon

Did you buy an iPhone 4 with AppleCare around launch day back in 2010? Bad news, your warranty's about to expire. Good news, Apple is pretty generous with replacing defective phones. Head over to Cult of Mac for a list of common replacement-triggering maladies.

Yes there's almost definitely going to be a new iPhone out this fall, but there are still plenty of reasons for you to get it replaced if possible. At the very least, it's worth getting that 90-day warranty extension so that you're fully covered up until launch day. After all, you already paid for the warranty at this point; why let it go to waste? [Cult of Mac]

FACEMAN. The man with a face.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Oh man, youre joking, right?? "Apple is pretty generous with replacing defective phones"

Seriously. about 2 weeks ago my lock button stopped working. As in, it physically broke. A hardware problem, not a software problem.

So naturally I took it in (I bought apple care) to get it fixed or replaced and they told me that my warranty had expire on JULY 3RD 2010!

HOW THE HELL DID IT EXPIRE 2 MONTHS BEFORE I BOUGHT THE PHONE???

Complained to the manager, no one would help me. Ended up just buying a new button online and fixing it at home.

Probably wont be buying the new one.
