Rumors pointed to a $100 price drop for Microsoft's Xbox 360 last week, but now it turns out that the Internet may have lied to us yet again. The latest word from "insiders" who claim to be "in-the-know" have refuted such price drop claims, meaning you'll have to pay the full $399 for the foreseeable future if you want the real Xbox 360.
Given that Sony's PlayStation 3 will require you to take out a second mortgage on your house just to be able to afford it, and that the Wii will be value-priced from the beginning, Microsoft might want to investigate cutting prices just a little bit.
