We were among the 10 people to actually see this videogame-to-movie adaptation in the theaters, but now you can watch it for free in your own home thanks to a mis-price by iTunes. Just follow the instructions after the jump and you'll be able to download all 1.09 GB of bald gunplay for yourself, all for the price of a pat on the back. Even if you don't enjoy it, there is some boobage a couple times in the movie, which makes this deal groundbreaking—because where else can you see boobs on the internet?
Well, thanks to our readers found the tip to get this movie completely free. In iTunes, click iTunes store, look for the "Browse" on Quick Links in the right hand side. Than, select "Movies" and then "Thriller". Look for the title "Hitman". You will see it is free (as pictured above) for the whole version at 1.06GB. I can download it and watch it successfully. Not sure whether it is something new or a bug of iTunes.

ah this makes the movie a bit more bearable. but then again you have to waste all that time downloading it and finally watch it. all this and you find out it still sucks.
w00t! slick deal
hmm...downloading it right now, and hopefully iTunes doesn't pull a "haha just kidding" and charges me...
Free is still too much for this pile. However... The afformentioned boobies might make it worth your time.
but it would still cost time... :( ... and that sad sad movie isn't worth that
Soooo is anyone going to report this to Apple? ;)
removed as of 8 pm. boo!
If this is how Apple plans to repay me for having to endure 10,000 "I'm a Mac" ads, they had better offer something worth the bandwidth.
Yah, unfortunately, they have my credit card on file. I'm not going to risk a a charge and time spent fighting the charge just so I can watch a crappy movie I can download on bittorrent.
Got in before it was caught and my download is still going. Thank you RSS feed.
I think this is another Apple attempt of sneaking something you don't want, on to your computer. Last time it was a bundled app, this time it's marking something as "free"
Oh Apple, what next?
Hitman. Free. The free part should actually make the first part more desireable, but then it occurs to me.
The gunk at the bottom of the dumpster on the side of my building is free as well.
What? I just started downloading mine, the movie was still there.
@futonhead: uuuuummmmm downloadin right now just started... 39 min till completed idk if im gunna be able to bare to watch this somebody wanna save us the trouble and post the exact times of the boobages so our eyes dont bleed later?
*coughs* I saw it in theaters on opening night. *coughs*
No joke...
hmm looks like its gone now
Yea, it says $3.99 to rent, $14.99 to buy. wth?! $14.99? are they going to mail a dick out to me too so I wont be screwed when they switch to MLB codecs?
It still shows up as free for me and I just started the download five minutes ago... here's to hoping they don't charge me >.>
@myotheralt: *disk!! i meant disk! omg wow, i guess i was thinking they were going to mail that out and tell me where it goes...
@myotheralt:
Mailing dicks? Hmm... Apple is constantly innovating and breaking new grounds, starting new markets...but dicks?
How strange; it looks like the movie is listed twice:
Hitman with "Unknown" Listed as the Artist
Hitman with "Xavier Gens" Listed as the Artist
Sometimes the iTunes Store has problems with its weekly freebies (e.g., not actually free or not actually available), but it does offer free music regularly and free television shows frequently. Perhaps Apple is starting a similar promotion for movies and the double-listing and missing artist name are errors in that process.
I tried to get the free download (not because I think it looks like a good movie, but because I am curious about the quality and experience of movies obtained via iTunes), but it didn't actually work; the checkout process failed:
"Some items in your shopping cart are no longer available.
The unavailable items have been removed from your shopping cart. Please review your shopping cart and click Buy Now."
@Kaiser-Machead: Herpes is free too. So is AIDS. It isn't the up-front cost that gets you, though; it's the total cost of ownership.
still free for me
DANM!! NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!! DANM YOU APPLE!!! DANM YOU!!!!
OK, just out of curiosity, I switched iTunes from shopping cart mode to one-click mode and now it is downloading the free version of the movie. Weird!
@Brian Sexton: It's only free if you find a drunk slut at a party. If not, you have to at least buy some McD's before the horizontal polka.
Yep, not available anymore. Maybe it was a Fox Digital Copy glitch or something.
um? 8:34 and i'm downloading it now... not sure how it's no longer available
POOF. NOOOOO
@Brian Sexton: Switching from Shopping Cart to one-click seems to do the trick, indeed.
I'm downloading it for free right now... but not for the boobies: I can see those if I look down.
Free, if you don't count the fact that I would have to actually install iTunes on my system. Not gonna happen for any free movie.
@GC736: get a real computer first and you wouldn't have to download iTunes, it's already installed
I had to restart my iTunes before it let me download the movie.
Thanks gizmodo!
use the unknown one then you can get it for free
its the unrated version also
@myotheralt:
That was funny as hell...
@Kaiser-Machead: I'm sure you can get either or both without relying upon inebriation or meal-bartering; you might just need to look around a bit. Like Tina Turner and Creedence Clearwater Revival say: you don't have to worry 'cause you have no money; the people on the river are happy to give.
Ha ha. stupid itunes.
Wait a second, maybe they want us to download and watch it. Maybe there is some sort of subliminal messege behind it all. Maybe it is a computer virus masked as a movie that someone posted. Or maybe itunes is stupid?
nope. the link no longer works:
"The item you tried to buy is no longer available.
The availability of the item changed while you were using the store. The same item may be available wit a different price or elsewhere on the store."
Downloading it right now, no credit card on my account just itunes gift cards and i don't have any more money on my account...and i live in Mexico also.
I closed iTunes, reopened and now am downloading for free at 8:10 pm central time- good luck to you.
Well I see a price now
Now all I need is for the UK store to catch up with the US and start selling movies and iPhone ringtones and i can download free terrible movies as well!! Seriously why is UK iTunes so far behind?
There is no such thing as free. Everybody that downloads it must agree to the new iTunes Movie agreement.
Fooled you!
Now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
It's still free, however since I'm in Canada I can't get it. Any workaround?
I agree with sangarts2.
What worked for me is if you quit iTunes and then reopen it, and then do the instructions given. That's how I got it to start downloading.
i noticed it made me agree to some sort of itunes movie agreement, but neverthless it is still free here's a screen shot [www.grabup.com]
All gone now. Bummer.
it doesnt work anymore =( god stevo is quick
Not only does the movie have boobies, but the movie poster has a clear camel toe.

I guess I'll be marked as mentally insane, but I actually think the movie is alright.
I mean if you just want to see some shooting/action going on and not really care too much about the story, then it's ok. It's neither Jason Bourne nor Ronin or anything, but I've seen worse... a lot worse.
Besides, a hitman in a nice suit with a shaved head is cool no matter what.
well, there's always redtube.com
Lame. Added film. Purchased ($0.00) and no download.
Recheck the cart- "the following item has been removed."
@stlblufan: And Redtube.com is NSFW.
That looks like Fairuza Balk. Is it?
i'm guessing someone figured it out... why is this lame movie flying up the charts today... i picture a security guard asleep behind 400 monitors. " (wakes up) what's going on ?!?"
ah, too late
@dysh:
Just what I want - more crapware with a computer purchase. If I wanted that, I would buy an HP. That's why I prefer to build my own (not an option w/Apple.
And no, I don't want to shell out more for hardware than what it's worth, only to have to run Boot Camp to use 90+ percent of the software/games I use on a daily basis.
@DeadWriter: ditto
Glitch!
"The item you tried to buy is no longer available.
The availability of the item changed while you were using the store. The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere on the store."
Darn!
The item "Changed While in store..." Well, it would've been cool if I'd read this in time... Good Post.... As Always, Giz
Way to go Giz! You drew to much attention to it, and iTunes ppl noticed and fixed it. Thnx.
