Put Android 2.2 Froyo On Your Sprint HTC EVO With Root Access

We like the HTC EVO, which means we’re pained that it isn’t getting Android 2.2 Froyo just yet. BUT WAIT. You can manually install it, “unofficially”, if you root the phone.

Here is a video of the EVO being rooted. And here is a video of Froyo 2.2 running on the EVO. By rooting the phone, you can install custom ROMs and boot into custom recovery environments.
