Asus has been the target of criticism from some angry power users who are worried they won't be able to customize the brand new Transformer Prime as much as they want to. And rightly so!
The quad-core Android tablet is a spec beast, so naturally, there's a segment of people looking forward to modding it out with customized software. But members of a developer forum discovered that the Transformer Prime is shipping with an encrypted bootloader that would prevent people from rooting the tablet. Which is understandably frustrating; if you buy something, you should be able to do what you want with it.
