Proving that it will always have what it takes to compete with the likes of Neiman Marcus when it comes to obscene gift ideas, Hammacher Schlemmer has revealed this beauty for the 2014 holiday season: a $100,000 life-size replica of a 40-foot long T-rex skeleton that stands 15-feet tall. Good luck hiding that under the tree.

Based on Stan, the most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton ever unearthed and found in the South Dakota Black Hills in 1992, this replica is considered to be museum quality, even if you just stick it in the backyard and cover it in Christmas lights. Weighing in at 1,500 pounds the replica is made from polyurethane resin cast from the silicone molds of the Rex's original bones, and is incredibly detailed right down to a broken jaw and various puncture wounds.

The skeleton is supported by a concealed inner steel structure that allows it to be posed standing tall, or leaning forward on the hunt. And don't worry about having to figure out how to assemble it yourself on Christmas Eve. For $100,000 it also comes with a complimentary assembly crew who will pose it however you like.
