Jesus brought up the very interesting observation that in this day and age, with iPods and portable media players and laptops and portable hard drives, what kind of person still orders hotel porn? Japan's Highest Digital Porn Censor Arrested For Not Censoring Enough Hoohas
If you've ever seen any Japanese porn at all, you know that the good stuff is usually censored. The man in charge of censoring these hairy body parts, Katsumi Ono, plus four other adult business colleagues, were just arrested for allowing 13,000 copies of movies into the marketplace that weren't completely mosaicked. Porn Studio Ditches HD DVD for Blu-ray in 2008
We missed this story while we were wandering around the halls of AVN, checking out streaming porn boxes, but apparently Digital Playground is dropping HD DVD in favor of Blu-ray in 2008. Joone, the founder of the video label, says they're dropping it not just because Warner and other companies switched, but because their Blu-ray titles actually outsold HD DVDs already. What can we take from this? One, Digital Playground and other studios will probably stop selling HD DVD porn by the end of 2008. Two, PlayStation 3 owners really like porn in their living rooms. Just a heads-up to all of our Puritan Gizmodo readers: 58-year-old Chicago native Jeanette Strowder confessed to shooting and killing her boyfriend, Jesse Martin, after finding his stash of porn stored on CDs. Ask.com Brings Anonymous Searching With AskEraser
Ask.com isn't quite getting the traction it needs to overpower Google in the search arena with the weird algorithm ads, so it's besting Google in another arena: privacy. By providing a tool called AskEraser, Ask will allow users to perform internet searches—googling, if you will—without storing any of the search information server side. This is one of privacy fans' big complaints about Google, which recently shortened the span it keeps anonymous search data to 18 months. Time Warner DVRs Might Come with Bonus Porn
SomeHaving been on a three-week waiting list for Time Warner Cable's HighDef DVR box, it was finally installed yesterday. I turned it on and saw that it worked great. I leave to run the weekend errands and give my wife the remote control and the manual to set up her programs for recording. My wife and my two nieces (ages 3 and 8) sit down to learn how to record DisneyTV shows.
