I agree with X-Gadget’s Vincent Nguyen that Best Buy’s not the most reliable of retailers. I won’t bore you with my tale of woe from last Xmas, except to say that the pickup window was staffed by a lady more blunted than Woody Harrelson at a hemp rally. Seriously, she must’ve brought me the wrong camera about a dozen times.
Still, it’s easy to forgive when Best Buy is offering MPx220s for $50—$349.99 retail, minus a $300 mail-in rebate. There are two catches: You gotta sign a one-year contract with Cingular, and you gotta go today. Supplies are limited, natch, so if you’re hot for a cheapo smartphone, best to put down the kruller and get to Best Buy, stat. And if you’re going to the one on 6th Avenue in Manhattan, bring the pickup girl some Sno-Balls and a copy of Tical. She’ll greatly appreciate it.
