The sadly out-of-print Weird War Tales furnished readers with oodles of nutty paranormal combat stories. In this obscure yet awesome short, a Nazi regiment fights a woolly mammoth thawed out of glacier...and then they tame it. Hilarity ensues.
1979's March of the Mammoth was a Bronze Age gem written by Jack Harris and illustrated by Alfredo Alcala. This high-concept recipe is simple. Nazis + woolly mammoth frozen in glacier + a truly bad idea = comedy. Somebody needs to make this into a SyFy original movie, pronto.
