A Dongle That Lets You Shoot 3D on Your iPhone

This Kickstarter project is actually a great idea, if you’ve been eyeing up LG and HTC’s 3D phones enviously. It works by basically adding another camera sensor to the iPhone, via the Sthreeam dongle you attach to the base.

Both 3D photos and video can be shot with the iPhone, and shown on either 2D TVs using the anaglyphic glasses, or on 3DTVs with active shutter shades. Not that the video resolution will be that great—it records in VGA at 30fps.

In order to get the Sthreeam onto the production line, the creators are seeking $50,000 on money-crowd-sourcing site Kickstarter. [Kickstarter]
