A Cure for Wellness is determined to cram every single creepy thing you can think of into a single movie. And while old-timey white hospital uniforms, creepy castles, accents, and Jason Isaacs are all well and good, Dane DeHaan mentioning his teeth makes my skin crawl.
There’s a lot of weird supernatural things—weird creatures in the water and a story about the murder of aristocrats in the past—in A Cure for Wellness. But none of it would mean anything if every confrontation wasn’t loaded with tension. Leave, dude. Get out of there.
