Like so many gory slasher flicks, the short film Child Eater involves a local legend, this one about a creepy figure who eats children’s eyes to keep from going blind. But when Helen loses track of her babysitting charge, she’s forced to face the truth behind the myth.
Child Eater was written and directed Erlingur Thoroddsen, and he and his team want to turn it into a feature-length film. If you dig the short, consider backing the Kickstarter campaign. The short feels very much in the vein of Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and Halloween, with its own monstrous spin on the supernatural slasher.
