Sparked by an email one person received from Verizon, word has been going around that the carrier might soon offer the Treo 600. We actually spoke with someone at Verizon about this the very topic a couple of days ago, and they confirmed for us that, yes, they are looking at the Treo 600. But don’t get your hopes up yet. Verizon, just like every other carrier, checks out and tests tons of new phones each year, and only a relatively small fraction of those ever get picked up. There’s no reason to suspect that the Treo 600 wouldn’t pass muster with them, but you never know. Even the slightest incompatibility could keep Verizon from introducing the phone. Frustrating, but that’s just the way it is.
