Anyone who has ever used an external USB TV tuner to try and watch or record TV shows with their PC has probably discovered how the relatively slow speed of USB 1.1 translates into relatively low-quality video. This probably isn’t the first one of these on the market, but there’s a new external USB 2.0 TV tuner for PCs from Adaptec that all but solves that problem. The VideOh! DVD Media Center USB 2.0 Edition comes with software for automatically recording TV shows as MPEG1 or MPEG2 files and DVD creation software for archiving those same shows once you’ve run out of space on your hard drive.
