Why hasn’t anyone thought to ask the butler before? Alfred was always the brains of the operation anyway. Batman’s butler Michael Caine told MTV who the two new villains would in the next Dark Knight — and they’re going to blow the Joker away.Said Caine:
I was with [a Warner Bros.] executive and I said, ‘Are we going to make another one?’ They said yeah. I said, ‘How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath – Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘S–t, they’ve done it again!'” [Laughs]
So either Michael Caine has been reading the movie tabloids and is jerking our collective chains (which let’s face it if you were him you’d do it too) or he knows something we’re all dying to find out. My guess is The Riddler and the Penguin are the new villains but the casting is just talk. [MTV]
