The big day is here! The Last Jedi has been unleashed upon us, along with tons of new books looking at the creation of the movie. This includes Phil Szostak’s The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, a collection of never-before-seen concept art, and io9 has an exclusive look inside.
Published by Abrams Books, The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi offers a behind-the-scenes look into Lucasfilm’s art department, during the early stages of crafting the creatures, characters, locations, and vistas of Rian Johnson’s first foray into the Star Wars galaxy. The book contains interviews and insights with key personnel from the creation of the film and from Lucasfilm’s art department about bringing The Last Jedi to life through its concept art—and of course, swathes of gorgeous examples of said art.
