Just a day after The Flash lost its director over creative differences, it looks like the DC Cinematic Universe could be losing another director for the same reason: James Wan, who is slated to direct Aquaman.
According to Birth.Movies.Death, Wan is “feeling a tremendous amount of trepidation about Aquaman”, because of the behind-the-scenes wrangling that’s been taking place since Batman v. Superman hit theaters to sour reviews and a less-than-expected box office take. According to the site, after his work on Furious 7 and this summer’s Conjuring 2, he’s trying to decide whether or not Aquaman is worth the creative headache that appears to be hitting the DC Universe.
As Justice League has just begun production, and with Suicide Squad about to hit theaters this summer, it will be interesting to see just how DC has positioned itself and their cinematic universe.
