Another review of the new Zodiac, Tapwave’s Palm PDA designed specifically for playing games, this one by Mike Langberg of the San Jose Mercury News. Like almost everyone else who seems to have gotten their hands on one, Mike likes it quite a bit, saying that it has the best screen he’s ever seen on a handheld. He does make one good point about the Zodiac though, that there will probably be limited number of top-quality games available to play on it. Since the Zodiac costs a lot more than a Game Boy Advance, Tapwave isn’t likely to sell more than a few hundred thousand of them (at best), which is too few for most game developers to bother creating titles that really take advantage of its capabilities.
