If you’re wondering just how much less sucky your NYC AT&T service was, look no further: dropped calls down 23% in Manhattan, blocked calls down 39%, 3G speeds up 31%. And if you’re wondering the same in San Fransisco, well…

During AT&T’s call today to discuss earnings, execs were open and upfront about the improvements to their NYC network, particularly in Manhattan. And the results are impressive, at least compared to the national average.

AT&T’s other major sore spot, though, didn’t get the same relief. San Francisco network enhancements are apparently lagging about 90 days behind those of the NY Metro area, according to the carrier. Hey, at least you’ll get plenty of use out of that 3G MicroCell.
