Social Media Editor

I’m a Dominican-American video producer/journalist from New York City. As a kid, before phones became smart and the internet was still known as “the net,” I’d build my own PCs and was my family’s go-to tech-buying guru and troubleshooter (an expert at restarting and plugging things back in). In 2010, I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology ready to tackle the world of documentary films but instead took a 6 year detour in e-commerce production. In 2018 I returned to the fold and produced the documentary short, “A Cancer in The Amazon,” highlighting the stories of the victims of Chevron’s environmental crimes in the Ecuadorian Amazon. A year later, I joined the award-winning independent TV/radio newsroom, Democracy Now, as the Video Production Fellow. Most recently, I led and produced The Root’s video content, including the celebrity interview series, “That’s So Random.” My work has also been featured at teleSUR English, Jacobin Magazine, Talking Eyes Media, and Haymarket Books, as well as, in the 2011 Oscar and Emmy nominated documentary short, “Poster Girl.” As Gizmodo’s Social Media Editor, I aim to remix and amplify the site’s content and nourish an engaging, fun, and informative relationship with our audience on social media by producing video content that is true to Gizmodo’s voice and mission.
