Health Informatics

Health informatics strives to improve healthcare outcomes using information technology. In other words, it’s a field dedicated to fixing the health data ecosystem, thereby improving care for all patients. The top school here is the University of Michigan, whose master’s program in health informatics prioritizes understanding of health policy and information science. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of the field, the health sciences are treated as information sciences.
