In a pretty random and hilarious interview with the Daily Mail Murray laid down the specifics for his Venkman character in Ghostbusters 3.
“I’ll come back in Ghostbusters III only if I get to be a ghost. I said to them, ‘I’ll do it if you kill me off in the first reel.’ So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film.”
It’s been suggested over and over again that Venkman should be a ghost, or Murray wouldn’t be in the third film. But now we at least know that it happen right in the beginning, Joe Black style. Now the only question remains, will he have slime?
The third film is rumored to begin shooting this summer.
