Set photos from Iron Man 3 caused a huge stir a while back when they showed some American flag-themed armor in the mix. And now some new concept art shows that same star-spangled armor. What gives?

As you might already have heard, that’s not the Dark Avenger known as Iron Patriot on the Iron Man 3 set. Rather, it’s James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine, wearing a more patriotic version of the Iron Man armor. This new concept art comes via Comic Book Movie.
And meanwhile, Movies.com just posted an interesting look at some early concept art by Wesley Burt that shows that Thor could have looked very different in his first movie. Check out a bigger version over at Movies.com, but here’s a glimpse:
