One reader writes in regarding the post today about cellphones placing people at the scenes of crimes:
I work for a Federal law enforcement agency and we’ve seen some doozies with cellphones. My favorite to date is a picture we got from someone’s phone of her boyfriend holding up a sack of money and a sack of crack cocaine, hamming it up for the girlfriend. She was foolish enough to send the picture using her phone, which, once we subpoenaed her phone logs, including the pictures, gave us the date, time, place, etc., as well as a lovely picture to show in court.
Thanks!
