Just released in the Korean market, the Canon A700 has 6 megapixels and 6x optical zoom, quite high for a “compact” camera. A 2.5″ LCD and various other shooting modes which makes it a good point and shoot cam.
The IXUS 60 is also a 6 megapixel camera, with a smaller body and only 3x optical zoom. Ships with 16 MB of internal memory and 1 GB of external flash.
Importing this to the states should be no problem, as long as you’re willing to pay a little extra for the trouble. Maybe you could import one of those Korean product models while you’re at it.
